THE PROGRAM
Services
Restorations in Transition will offer affordable transitional housing; networking with job placement agencies, conduct aptitude and personality tests for career capabilities that will help in charting a course of action; a support network for immediate counseling sessions on drug rehabilitation and relapse prevention; help regain independence and empowerment through life skills training; financial management such as spending plans, money management; and assist in a process returning to their children and families.
We realize our clients will have experienced a diverse range of debilitating experiences. Therefore we will assist in building healthy relationships, assess each individual’s need and hindrances to their long-term success. We will focus on personal responsibility and retraining on the nutritional benefit of healthy eating to maintain their sobriety and clean living.
Transitional Housing is an alternative to returning to environments that promoted substance abuse. Housing will consist of a room in a transitional living community model.
Personal Development We will provide speakers on goal setting, life skills such as budgeting/spending plans, career objectives, family planning and parenting.
Vocational Development will provide training, aptitude and personality assessments to reveal capabilities of each client for available job opportunities. Collaboration with local business and job placement agencies to open opportunities for work placement. Each client placed with employment will be required to pay 50% of their monthly pay towards living expenses, save 30% towards moving expenses, 20% towards medical and expenses for transportation and personal incidentals
Support Network-Prevention will provide a group of professionals who are familiar with the needs and special circumstances of clients recovering from substance abuse; Offering group sessions for those building self-esteem and self-worth. Clients will have access to sauna and aerobics to continue the detoxification process while in transition.
Interpersonal Skill Development will consist of empowerment through regular gatherings to promote personal responsibility and becoming self-sufficient. Each client will work as a team as well as independently on goals that have been set in Phase One of the program. Opportunities through Networking will provide various situations for entertainment which will give each client an opportunity to use their new freedom in learning how to have fun without the use of substances that alter their behaviors.
Personal and Spiritual Development Leisure Activities- Entertainment to have a well-rounded balanced approach to life will also include opportunities to attend many cultural and fun activities and events in the city. This will bring enjoyment to life through wholesome fun without the use of drugs and alcohol. There will also be personal and corporate spiritual activities that will enhance creative leisure activities and celebration.
Nutrition/Exercise will continue the process of detoxification and further recovery. By retraining in eating habits and exercise each client will further enhance the progress of their independence and increase their success in staying clean and sober.
Independent Living Preparation/follow-up Long-Term Success- During each client's stay will focus on successful planning to fund their first and last month rents, groceries, furniture, and utility deposits and have an emergency savings account established.
